Lady And The Tramp Blu-Ray and DVD Diamond Edition Combo Pack

Lady and The Tramp has been a favorite around our house for years. We still burst into song whenever we think of the Siamese cats. "We are Siamese if you please, We are Siamese if you don't please..." Lady is a wealthy, pampered spaniel and Tramp is a a freewheeling mutt with a heart of gold (meaning he lives alone on the cold streets.) They fall in love over a plate of spaghetti and have to overcome many obstacles to be together. In the end, love conquers all.  It's a cute, classic love story.

For anyone who has never seen the movie, here's a quick synopsis:
A classic love story unfolds in the best Disney tradition as a lovely young pedigreed
cocker spaniel named Lady, who lives a pampered life, finds herself falling romantically
for Tramp, an amorous street-smart pooch without prospects. Although they have fun
together on several dates, including a sentimental spaghetti dinner by moonlight at
Tony’s restaurant, their relationship is strained not only by Lady’s loyalty to her human
family and their newborn baby, but by Tramp’s devil-may-care attitude that eventually
gets Lady in trouble and tossed into the dog pound. However, good-hearted Tramp
redeems himself by saving the baby from potential harm and thus wins Lady’s love and
the affection of her human family.

What makes this version special is the extras included on the DVD and the Blu-Ray. The Blu-Ray features three never before seen scenes and the never previously released song I’m Free as the Breeze. Of course, being partial to cats, I enjoyed the segment on Finding a Voice for the Cats.

Lady and The Tramp Diamond Edition will be released on February 7th, 2012. Some movies seem to appeal more to girls and some seem to appeal more to boys, but this one has always been a hit with my entire family.
